Multiple scopes at once

Post by mkl »

Is it possible to stack multiple PicoScopes? E.g. use two 4 channel scopes to sample 8 signals.
I assume they need to have a common trigger also or something...
Couldn't find information about it and don't want to buy a second scope if i'm not sure if it will work.

Hi mkl,

One instance of the PicoScope 6 software application can only connect to one device, so for two PicoScope devices you would require 2 instances of the PicoScope 6 application to run on your PC.

If you are using the Software Development Kit, then it is possible to control more than one device from the same application.

Although using a common trigger signal is possible, it will not guarantee synchronisation between the oscilloscopes.

You may wish to consider the 8-channel PicoScope 4824:

Hello!

I had this question as well and hoped for multiple picos on one instance of the software.

Couldn't you just do some 5000 picos with digital inputs ? This would make my "stacking need" obsolete ;)

Thank you!
