Signal Generator

Post by rebk »

Hi All,
I am using PicoScope 5244A. When push Signal Generator button and Turn on the signal, the default waveform does not change at all. I tried all options as different type of waveforms and different frequency and voltage but they change only in the Picoscope software and nothing changes at default waveform.
Do I miss anything to use Signal Generator?
I tried the Demo version, It seems fine but Signal generator doesn't work when I am working with real device (When picoscope is connected).

Any idea?

Thank you

Have you connected a BNC cable between the SigGen/AWG output and the input Channel A ?

Can you post a psdata file, then we can then look at your settings, and a picture of your setup, so we can replicate things here.

To keep the size down just save the current waveform, not all buffers.

Setup picture.
It should be a Square waveform with 1 KHz f.

Can you also post a picture showing the cable connections.

And then try switching the input to using channel B.

I am using the same model 5244A and facing the same problem, i.e. 'When push Signal Generator button and Turn on the signal, the default waveform does not change at al'l. I have tried all of these aforementioned options. But, still could not solve the problem. I do not have a probe from picoscope, therefore, I have attached a homemade BNC cable in channel A/B. I can see Signal out in an Oscilloscope. Please see the attached file.
