4 channel eg 3403D Power Supplys

Post by d431hood »

I need to run my scope from the PC battery supply only (its a truly mobile application) and need 4 channels.

So my question is: has anyone had issues with PC USB supplying the 4 channel units such as the 3403D I'm considering and which laptops work and which don't. Also what is the voltage of the separate DC input, I don't seem to see it on the spec sheets provided - apologies if I've just missed it.

TIA

This will really be down to the PC/Laptop in use, some manufacturers adhere strictly to USB specs to preserve battery life, other don't.

For informtaion the power adaptor is 5V 3A, and the device power requirements are
Powered from a single USB 3.0 port or two USB 2.0 ports (dual cable supplied).
4-channel models: AC adaptor included for use with USB ports that supply less than 1200 mA
