PicoScope 2205 as logger

Hello,

I am not sure if this is the right board for the subject, in case it's wrong please move my post to the appropriate one.

Getting to the point:
what I'm trying to achieve is to use the PicoScope 2205 as a data logger. Judging from what I've read on the board it should be possible, and it seems so at the first glance: the device is recognized by PicoLog recorder etc. The problem starts when I try to use both channels. As long, as ranges on both A and B are set to +-2V or more (not neccesarily the same), everything is fine. Below 2 volts, the relay in scope starts to click at eneromous speeds (several times a second). Is it even possible to use the scope as dual channel logger for milivolt ranges?

Hi Aleksander,

The noise that you are hearing from the PicoScope is normal - try increasing the scan time for both channels in the Edit Measurements dialog.

Thanks, I managed to deal with it.

One more question on this topic:
what is the estimated lifetime of this relay?
I mean, that with the setup that is satisfactory for my application, the relay still clicks ca. every 10 secs. and I am worried that it may break soon.

Hi Aleksander,

The relays should last for a few million clicks so you should be fine

The oscilloscope is also covered by a 5 year warranty.
