3206mso data streaming limit

What is the data streaming limit for the 3206MSO plugged into a USB3.0 port?
How much of buffer could I continally stream?

The 3206MSO is a USB2 device so the USB3.0 part is not relevant.

If you are using the SDK and writing your own application you can start the device streaming and it will continue until you request it to stop. Any restrictions will therefore be down to the program and what it does with the data.

With Picoscope 6, due to the additional functions the software performs, we put a limitation of around 128,000,000 samples dependant upon the exact settings.

How much data are you looking to stream ?

I am looking for enough of a buffer to accurately capture an I2c stream for 5 seconds.

Also, How do I tell where the sample points are in a display?

With Picoscope 6 change the Slow Sampling Transition time to 1S/div and then select a collection time of 500ms/div to give a screen duration of 5 seconds. The scope will be running in block mode rather than streaming, and will collect the data before displaying it.

By selecting a single trigger mode you can then collect a buffer of 125,000,000 samples at an interval of 40ns with two digital channels active on the clock and data lines of the I2C, which should be enough to accurately represent the signal.
