Multimeter+Picoscope

Post by Andrea78 »

Recently I notice that the current measured by my Picoscope is slight different (alway lower) from a multimeter located in serial .
Can you suggest how to solve this problem? Thanks.

Hi,
There could be several reasons for this.
Can you tell me how you are measuring this current, please?
Are you using a series resistor and measuring the voltage across it?
What is the value of this resistor and the level of current?
Is it a simple DC current or a mixture of AC & DC?
Are you using a x10 probe to connect across the series load resistor or using a direct x1 connection?
Is the series resistor in the supply lead or in the return lead of the circuit?
Regards,
PeterF.
