Problems with the "slow sampling mode"

Post by Shogunat »

Dear Ladies and Gentleman,

when using the Picoscope software with time-scales greater 200ms/div (slow sampling mode is activated) the CPU load increases dramatically. In combination with the system mentioned below, this leads to a break in drawing the data for several seconds which is sometimes quiet annoying. I am also not sure if the data will be measured correctly during such a break.

There is no other application running during the measurement. Changing the sampling rate does not help.

Is there any solution for this „lagging-problem“ ? Is there any plan to change to a other drawing mode for slow data acquisition.

Thank you!

System:
AMD Athlon 64 3000+
512 MB Ram
WinXP SP2 /SP3

PicoScope Equipment
Picoscope 3425
Picscope Software 6 V6.5.78.5

I would suggest trying with

R6.6.28 http://www.picotech.com/software.html

or even

R6.7.2(beta) http://labs.picotech.com/#psw6

as streaming has been improved significantly since the version you have listed.
