Measurement resolution

Post by dat »

Hi,

Is there a function to set the resolution of the automatic measurements? E.g. with the PS4262, I can sample with up to 20 bits, but the measurements default to only four significant digits.
And is there a way to make the readout larger?

Thank you for your help!

Hi,

If you are using the Measurements features in PicoScope6, then at the moment only 4 significant digits are displayed.

To make the readouts larger, click Measurements and select the font size from the Grid Font Size drop down menu.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the reply.
Is the next software version able to display a better measurement resolution? 20 bits should give 6 sognificant digits, not only four. It shouldn't be difficult to make the resolution adjustable, especially since you have the high accuracy scope now.

Hi dat,

I can put this forward as an enhancement feature for a future release.

Has an progress been made in this area? I refuse to believe I just spent 3K on a scope that output 4 significant figures. Please tell me this is a joke and you have fixed this is the past 4 years.

Hi pcborenstein,

The request for enhanced measurement resolution is still on our New Features list so I have added a comment to the request.

I will respond via your e-mail support enquiry as well.

Best wishes,
