problems with adc216 on sony laptop
Hi I am having some issues with Picoscope not seeing the ADC216 on LPT1. I used to use the ADC216 with a Toshiba Libretto running win95 and everything was great, I now have a sony vaio pcgv505 running win2kpro, and having attached the adc216 and starting everything picoscope says it cannot find the ADC200 on LPT1, any ideas?

Hi,
You could try the following:
Got to the PC's BIOS and set the parallel port to one of the following:
Unidirectional, Output only, Normal, SPP.
Do not set it to ECP, EPP or Bidirectional.
The second solution could be as simple as choosing a different LPT number, try this, choose LTP2, LTP3, in the Picoscope software, sometimes on NT based operating systems the LTP numbers of mixed up. This seems to be caused by the operating system virtualising the port.
Best regards,
