Software install without CD ROM

Post by papabear 2 »

Please give me detailed info about making floppy disks from the software CD so I can load software onto My laptop that doesn't have a CD ROM.
I found the following in a readme file but I was unsuccessful in making it work.

5. How to install software onto a PC with no CD-ROM
************************************************
Software from this CD can be copied onto blank floppy disks using the
supplied copydisk utilty.

For the windows 95/98/ME/NT/XP/2000 software run:
\windows\full32\copydisk.bat
(You will require 5 blank disks.)

What is the proper comamand to make this work? Thanks for any help you can give

Hi,

Thank you for your enquiry ... the simpilest method to do this successfully would be to download the software form our website. This will give you the most upto date version and it comes in the form of a self extracting zip file.

The zip file can be opened using win zip, a quick search on the web will find this if you do not already have it. Unpack the files into a directory, and then using the floppy disk transfere them across. Copying all the files into a new directory on the PC with out a cd rom. Once all the files are copied across run the executable to start the installation.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,
Regards,
