TC-08 USB - device descriptor wrong?

Post by jimmy j. »

Hello,

I can't install my TC-08. There where no drivers installed, when I install the PicoScope program. When I install the drivers manually - the drivers will be installed - but the PicoScope couldn't find the Device.

The TC-08 in the picowinusb.inf file has the PID: 1000. Mine has the PID: ffff. I've checked it with Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Ubuntu 9.04 and nothing works.

Here are some Informations from lsusb -v (Linux):

Code: Select all

Bus 003 Device 004: ID 0ce9:ffff pico Technology
Device Descriptor:
  bLength 18
  bDescriptorType 1
  bcdUSB 2.00
  bDeviceClass 255 Vendor Specific Class
  bDeviceSubClass 255 Vendor Specific Subclass
  bDeviceProtocol 255 Vendor Specific Protocol
  bMaxPacketSize0 64
  idVendor 0x0ce9 pico Technology
  idProduct 0xffff
  bcdDevice 0.01
  iManufacturer 0
  iProduct 0
  iSerial 0
I've tried to manipulate descriptor in the inf file - also didn't worked.

How can I get this thing working?

Hello,

I don't understand why the support can't help me? The device still doesn't work. What should I do with this very expensive purple brick?

Hi,
This does sound like a faulty unit, in which case it is much quicker if you go directly to our Help-desk to get a returns number:-
support@picotech.com
We cannot do that here as all your details would be public!
Regards,
PeterF.
