TC-08 (Serial) Sampling Freezes

Post by Guest »

I have been trying to use my TC-08 inconjunction with my laptop, but to no avail. No matter what sampling rates or input channels I'm using, the program freezes and all information is losted. Does anyone enlighten me what could be the cause?

Hi I don't seem to have any problems on my computer. However could you send me your .plw file. A few suggestions, sometimes some laptops do not have enough voltage to power a device, the serial TC-08 requires pins 7 and 4 to be held greater than 7V and -7V respectively.

Try running it on a desktop PC if you have access to one to see if this is the problem.

Kind regards

Hi, thanks for the heads up on the possible causes, I've now found out that my laptop is producing about + and - 6.5v on the relative output pins.
Do you know whether the USB version of the TC-08 would work on my laptop? If so, I've been given the go ahead to purchase one.

The USB TC-08 should not have any problems with power.
