I found vers 6 is more intuitive than vers.7

Post by yves_mazzon »

I tried version 7 for a long time but I found version 6 is more intuitive than version 7.Also when I do I2C I found the sync not as effective as vers. 6. One think I like with vers, 7 is the dark background and wider screen.I'm still looking for the frequency filters....

Hi yves_mazzon,

I'm not sure if you are still looking for an answer to this, but if you are, then could you tell us exactly what you mean by "I'm still looking for the frequency filters"? Also, what is about the I2C sync in PS7 that is less effective (is it that you're losing synchronization, that less devices can be reliably synchronized on the bus, something else...).

I guess the intuitive nature of the software is, to some extent dependent upon what you are used to, and at what stage you are at in terms of familiarizing yourself with it's layout. I too found the interface not that intuitive at the start but have become more appreciative of the functionality as I have familiarized myself with it more. We also, seem to forget the first hand experience (I seem to remember finding PicoScope 6 not immediately intuitive in terms of its operation, as it also had a lot of the functionality buried within the interface).

Regards,

Gerry

Thanks Gerry,
I supposed it takes a little time to get familiar with the interface. I'm sure picotech developers are working hard on it.
