Apologies for what is a basic question for you.
I am interested in a legacy TC-08 to use with K-type thermocouples for my dissertation.
Searching the forum for a direct answer is aiding.
Would a serial to usb adapter allow this logger to work with a modern laptop running Windows 11 with the downloadable software?
Does the software enable live readings on the laptop or would it be viewable from the recordings?

The legacy serial port TC08 will not work with the current version of PicoLog 6 software. You will need to use the older PicoLog 5 software https://www.picotech.com/download/softw ... 5_25_3.exe which hasn't been tested on Windows 11 but does work with Windows 10.
You will be able to see live readings or run a data collection to store data over a period of time.
