dr daq ph probe issue

Post by cornz »

For the last couple of months ive had problems with the ph probe.
Picolog is reporting a ph of between 7 and 7.5.
I have used a ph calibration fluid (4 and 7) and the result is always the same. A ph of 7-7.5.
I've cleaned the probe, reinstalled the software etc etc.
If i short the contacts out on the bnc then i get a ph of 7 so it appears to be the probe. The unit is about 4 months old, what is my next step?
Thanks.

Hi,
It sounds like the pH probe has dried out at some point and will need to be replaced. Please contact us on the Help-desk where we can arrange for the probe to be sent back:-

Hi and thanks. I can assure you the probe has never dried out as it is fully submerged in water every minute of every day. Even when i clean my tropical fish tank the probe is removed and placed in its little bottle of water.
