Current measurement with TC08 Thermcouple logger

Post by Jit »

Need help in figure out what is going on with my measurement
Used a 0.1 ohm shunt in line with DC current line;
From both the load and supply side measuring voltage through PICO TC-08 Single-Channel Terminal Board (PP624).
For current value, added an arithmetic channel where subtracting supply side and lie load side voltage divided by 0.1 Ohm (resistor value).

Notice that when there is no current flowing, both supply and load side voltage are equal(so difference is 0V),however some current is reading by the math current channel. My concept is that when the voltage difference is 0, I should see current value of 0A. The picture is attached

Hi Jit,

Could you post a detailed diagram of how you have things connected up.
