Picoscope 6 and Accelerometer

Post by picotester »

Dear Support Team,

I'm trying to test Pico 4224 IEPE with an accelerometer and wanted first to check the signal curve using the picoscope 6. Follwing the documentation, if I press the Coupling control, there should come following functions:
AC coupling
DC coupling
50Ω DC
Accelerometer
Frequency

but when I press the button, only three options are available (DC, AC, and Frequency)

How to get the Accelerometer setting activated?

Thank you!
Best Regards

With the scope connected can you go to Help->About in the software and post the text from the box.

This is the documentation of the coupling control option from Windows Picoscope 6 (Linux Version just refers to the online documentation):
Coupling control. Sets up the input circuitry.

AC coupling: rejects frequencies below about 1 Hz.

DC coupling: accepts all frequencies from DC to the scope's maximum bandwidth.

50Ω DC: low-impedance option (see Device feature table).

Accelerometer: switches on the current source output for IEPE-enabled scopes such as the PicoScope 4224 IEPE. The User's Guide for the oscilloscope has details of the IEPE channel specifications.

Frequency: enable the built-in frequency counter. Only one channel at a time can be operated in this mode. Available only if your scope device has hardware support for this feature: see Device feature table. Not available in Demo mode.

Also I've attached a screenshot of the functionality.
