Collecting Data before and after Trigger Event in Block Capture Mode

I am trying to trigger on a waveform, and collect a set number of samples before the trigger point (100 samples), and a set number of samples after the trigger point (9900 samples) using block mode. Is this possible. I have attached an image to help explain my goal.

I have been able to get data after the trigger point, but not before. I have tried using "noOfPreTriggerSamples", but after further investigation I think this will not be helpful. Seems as though all this does is make sure the trigger does not happen till at least "noOfPreTriggerSamples" has been achieved. But how do you collect this data. Is it possible in block mode?
