TA 300 Current Probe

Post by rsridharan »

Hi,

We had purchased TA300 Current probe alongwith the Pico 4444 oscilloscope. We would like to connect the Current probe with other datalogger and to do the same we need the Pinout details of Picolog. Can you share the same please?

This probe is designed for use only with the PicoScope 4444 so we are unable to provide this information.

it is probably cheaper to buy this one.

https://www.picotech.com/accessories/cu ... -probe-4mm

if you want the same specs

https://www.picotech.com/accessories/cu ... -probe-bnc

Thanks for your feedback.
We are not in position to buy the other current probes. We need your support
We saw in the datasheet that the sensitivity is informed as 100mV/A and it requires 5V DC for operation. So we hope that we could acquist the feedback voltage from the current probe with external logger.

Looking for your support.

It is not hard to figure out how the 4444 probe detection and powering works.
I did it 2 years back just out of curiosity how the 4444 knows witch type of probe is connected.

Don't know if I can post my findings without my post being removed.

Please note that if you create your own probes and subsequently cause damage to the scope this will not be covered by any warranty. If you go down this route make sure you fully understand what you are doing and how it works.

Message send, but all at your own risk of damaging the TA300 probe.

I strongly suggest you buy
https://www.picotech.com/accessories/cu ... -probe-4mm

because it is almost the same cost as the components you need to use the TA300 without the 4444 scope.
