I know it is silly but really want to confirm. We are using the pico datalogger part # USB TC 08. In our application there is a requirement to use the Omega thermocouple part #WTK-8-36-SMPW-M. Is there any issue to use thermo-couple from other make with Pico data logger?
Also curious to know if at all any deviation in K-type thermo-couple characteristic made by different manufacture?
Thermocouple Compatibility
Re: Thermocouple Compatibility
Hi Raji2018,
As long as the thermocouple has a standard connector and is of a Type supported by our TC-08 data logger, you should have no issues using it with our data logger.
If another manufacturer uses the correct alloy specified for the thermocouple Type, then its behaviour should not vary from that of the stated Type. However features, such as accuracy for instance, are not shared across the range of a Type and may vary depending upon the grade of the thermocouple.
Regards,
Gerry
