Changing details after a measurement

Post by peterb »

I completed a test and found that the I had set the inputs and calculated parameters incorrectly for two channels.

Is there a way I can correct the details and calculate new figures in PicoLog or do I have to export the raw data to Excel and do it that way?

Thanks

Peter

Hi Peter you can use the calculated parameters option and put your adjustments there.

Kind regards

The calculated parameters can be changed but how about the titles of the inputs?
I have a couple of recordings where they were guessed, incorrectly, and I now need to correct them.

Cheers

Hi peterb,

You cannot change the titles of the inputs, if you use calculated parameters, in effect i adds extra channels. My point is you can use those extra channels with your corrections as if they are your main channels.

Hope this helps.

OK so I can use Parameters to 'rename' them, but I do not know which input socket was which.

Is there anyway I can get that information out of the file, or I just have to guess that the order the yare listed is the order of the inputs?

Cheers

Hi Peter,

Having spoken to the software engineers to confirm my suspicions, the only way I would recommend doing it is by connecting the logger to the computer and selecting "file" -> "new data"and saving as a different name, then selecting Input channels and editing the named channels this way it will show which channel is associated with which name.

Hope this helps
