Measuring temperature with ADC-20 & LM35

Post by chriscatford »

I'm having trouble working out how to measure temperature using an ADC-20 with the terminal board and an LM35 sensor.

I've got the three LM35 pins connected directly to the 2.5V, channel 7 and AG connectors, but this isn't working.

I'm a novice, so any advice would be very gratefully received.
Thanks, Chris

Chris,

The LM35 reqiures a voltage supply of 4 to 30 volts. As the ADC-20 only operates at 2.5V you will need an external power supply to use it with the ADC-20.

That is a strange answer, as according to the specifications the ADC-20 and ADC-24 supply output at ¨+ and -5V. The 2.5 V output is a reference output (+/- 2.5 mV)
