Hi,
I am using a PicoScope 3204D with PicoScope 6 version 6.12.9.2917. I have connected the scope using a blue USB3.0 cable to a USB3.0 port with the charging icon. However, when the PicoScope software attempts to connect to the device the hardware disconnected sound plays and the PicoScope disappears from the Device Manager. The same behaviour is encountered when trying to connect to the scope using the Matlab driver.
The device driver is version 1.3.3.12 and I am running Windows 7 SP1
Thanks,
Kevin

Re: PicoScope 6 Disconnecting 3204D from Computer
Hi Kevin,
That could be a powering issue. Is the USB 3.0 port you are connecting on a hub or directly on the PC?
Have you tried a non-charging USB 3.0 port?
Could you please locate the trace.xml after running the PicoScope software (see section 3 of our PicoScope FAQ) and e-mail it to support@picotech.com. This may provide some information on what is happening.
