Copy as Image does not(yet) work

Post by AnalogueMan »

Havingrecently purchased the 2205A and trying to find my way, I cannot get "Copy as Image" working.
When I perform "View" > "Copy as Image" the Picoscope display freezes and nothing happens.
Have to restart the 2205A again to let things working as before.
What am I doing wrong or what did I forgot to do?
My Linux O.S. is Linux Mint MATE 17.1

It seems that my problem is ignored here?
I have a few days left to return my purchase of the 2205A to get my money back.
It seems that I am forced to take that action....

Thank you for informing us of this issue, does it occur with the latest release PicoScope 6.12.9 Beta for Linux ?

Can you locate the trace.xml file

~/.local/share/Pico\ Technology/260a68f1-30f-0a5e01d65514

and send that via email to support@picotech.com , we can then take a look.

Your possible return will not be affected by the delay, as we are aware you are having issues.

Thanks Martyn for your response.
The actual installed Picoscope 6 version is 6.12.9.35 Beta,
But in the meantime I discovered:
After having executed Edit > Copy as Image, my 2205A freezes(as I wrote above) but suddenly I noticed that the "Stop" button in the bottom panel is then activated(did not noticed that before  ) and pressing it, got the
system running again :) .
Then I got the idea that after the "Copy as Image" action and starting up LibreOffice Writer, the wave form picture could perhaps be shown up by simply clicking on "Paste" in Writer. And indeed it did!! :D
Problem solved.
