Channel A of 5243A shows wrong waveform

Post by egonotto »

The some waveform but channel A is wrong
The some waveform but channel A is wrong
Hello,

I take a 1kHz waveform from the generator of my PicoScope 5243A and use a BNC tee to connect the generator to channel A and channel B of the PicoScope 5243A

The waveform of channel A is wrong. The low frequencies are damped.

Best regards

Hello,

I found whats matter.

The contact from center pin of connector channel A to PCB has almost 300 kOhm.

Best regards

Hi egonotto,

I just noticed your answer here (I replied to your other post).

If you want your PicoScope repaired you can send us the serial number for it, along with your full postal address, and we will start the returns process for you.

Regards,

Gerry

Hi Gerry,

thanks.

I have fixed the problem with a soldering iron.
Now it looks fine (I reset colors to default).

We do not recommend repairing the scope yourself, once opened it can no longer be guaranteed to meet published specifications, and any subsequent issues would not be covered by the 5 year warranty :(

However in this case it looks as if the repair has been effective, and you have a fully working scope :)
