PicoScope 2206b ADC

Post by scju »

Hello Guys,

I have 2 questions:
1. Are there any further on information's about the used ADC inside of the Picoscope 2206b ?
2. In the manual, there's a part about the Input Voltage areas. The Voltage areas are as follow :
±20 mV, ±50 mV, ±100 mV, ±200 mV, ±500 mV,
±1 V, ±2 V, ±5 V, ±10 V, ±20 V
Does that mean that the 8 bit resolutions is applied on the different prior selected areas ? So let's say at ±20 mV we have 40mV at total, divided by 256, we should have a vertical resolution of 0.15625 mV?

Thanks in advance,
Julian

We can't give specific information about the ADC's

With 8 bit it will be 256 steps across the selected voltage range, so yes your example is correct.
