new ADC-11 Driver not found error

Post by Guest »

Just got two new ADC-11/12 units. Upon connection to USB, seems to install device properly. Verfied "working properly" in Device Manager.

However, neither PicoScope nor PicoLog seem to work properly with the device. PicoScope, whien launching, conveys the message "Driver USDADC11.dll not found." Then, it says ADC-11 not connected. I can go into PS, select the ADC-11 converter. It then tells me to re-launch, but I get the same failure.

PicoLog fails a bit differently, but -- bottom line -- doesn't work either.

Note that I have used the both applications successfully on two diff computers with other Pico devices (ADC-42, ADC-20). Neither PC works with either of the two ADC-11/12's I have.

Final note -- I have yet to see the light on the ADC-11 light up on either unit.

Please help!

Thanks,
Ken

Hi and thank you for your post.

What I would first and foremost is to do is the following:

1)Download the latest software from our webpage.
2)Remove the software
3)Install the software again, this time when you select your product and then click on the tick box where it says "Install for Other Devices" this will install the drivers for all our products, including the ADC11, ADC42 and ADC20.
4) Once you have installed the software plug the unit in and follow the instructions for installing the USBADC11 drivers( I assume you are using the USB one).
5) Make sure it is installed correctly by checking in Device Manager (Start->Control Panel->System then choose hardware tab under) now look under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers".

Let me know how you get on.

Thanks. All is working fine now. All I did was go through the re-install/repair process and tell it to add the USB-11 (USB) device drivers. I already had the latest rev's of software, and didn't have to delete them to get things working.

FWIW, I was unclear on the initial installation wording of the question about install for other devices. Might want to consider either new wording or simply install them all by default if they're not too large.

Anyway, thanks for getting me straightened out.
