I am running an ADC11 parallel port picoscope with a parallel to USB converting cable. I have installed the latest software from the pico website, though I am having problems getting a horizontal cursor on my plots in order to measure the X,Y values of that point. I am having no problems getting the vertical cursor on the screen at this time. Can someone please let me know how to do this as a friend of mine who also has the same picoscope as me has no problems in attaining a vertical and horizontal cursor on his plots.
The horizontal axis is done in a similar fashion to the vertical, instead of dragging the cursor from the top to the bottom, you would drag from the left hand side of the screen to the right. You can only have two on the screen for once channel, i.e. one vertical, one horizontal, or both vertical or both horizontal.
Thank you for your promp reply, though I have actually tried to set the cursor as you have directed. The problem that I am having is that when I have either one or no other cursors on the plot and I wish to add a horizontal cursor in the method prescribed, when I let go of the left click button the cursor dissappears. Whereas when I go through the same routine with the vertical cursor it remains on the screen when I let go of the left click button. It is eternally frustrating at the moment.
I was running an earlier version of the software. I have now uninstalled the previous program, downloaded and installed version 5.16.2. I again tried to get the horisontal cursor, though the same problem still exists.
As far as my operating system goes, I am running MS XP professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2. It is installed on a laptop running an Intel Core Duo 2GHz processor with 2GB of RAM.
I hope that this assists in finding a solution to the problem.
Hi, I have tried to recreate this problem on a couple of PCs, one that has a similar spec to your system and cannot recreate this problem.
One last option to try though is the following:
1)Uninstall the software
2)Remove the contents of this folder C:\Program Files\Pico Technology\Pico Full
3) Remove all contents from the following location:
C:\Documents and Settings\xxxx\Local Settings\Application Data\Pico Technology
where xxxx is you use log in name
N.B. if you have other pico software installed they will also be in there.
Then re install the software and see if this fixes the problem.
