AWG limitations for slow signal excitations

Post by Piero92 »

Hello,

I need to generate slow voltage sweeps and very long pulses sequences to perform some data acquisitions but I struggle using the arbitrary waveform generator for that purpose.

Indeed, the minimum frequency of any cycle (voltage sweep or pulse sequence) is 1Hz, which is too fast for what I need to do. For each cycle I define, I need to set up a voltage step duration (in seconds or milliseconds) instead of defining a complete cycle frequency. That seems to be very easy to implement : no problem from hardware point of view, it is just an AWG software issue and may be useful for many other users.

Could you please modify it for this kind of slow signal excitation ?

Many thanks.
Best Regards.
Pierre.

I there,
I still did not get any answer as far as I know.
I tried to manage with hardware circuitry in the meantime but that's not comfortable at all as you guess...
Any news ?

Many thanks.
Pierre.

Hi Pierre,

I apologise for the incomplete response.

This will have been submitted to our development team as an enhancement request for the feature.
