Baseline Error? Noise?

Hello,

Our lab has recently purchased a DrDaq data logger. Using the DrDaq with the PicoScope 6 we experience a level usable baseline. However; using the same device with PicoLog 6 we are experiencing roughly 5 mV of noise/interference. I have attached a photo of the baseline recording with a 10 mV calibration included from the probe amplifier.

Has anyone else come across this problem? Any insight into how to correct for this is greatly appreciated.

Can you show a similar capture using PicoScope 6, and make sure the Views->ViewProperties panel is open on the right hand side of the screen.

Can you tell us how you have the channels setup in PicoLog, are they LatestValue or Average, try the other setting and see if that makes a difference.

Or better still post the psdata file and picolog file so that we can look at the actual captured data and settings.

Hello Martyn,

Thanks for the response. Attached are a few comparative pictures of the PicoScope sample with the view properties panel opened. Also, there does not appear to be much difference between both PicoLog samples displaying the average and latest data settings.

Also a couple baseline data files from PicoScope and PicoLog. Greatly appreciate the feedback.

The PicoLog 6 software just zooms in automatically to a greater zoom level so you can see the discrete ADC steps.
