Channel: Input unit cannot change

Post by cchuha »

Hi, I inherited a Picoscope 4444 from another project. Looking for some help to change the channel input range from V to A in Picolog6. Is there a menu that I am missing? When I first received the tool, it was in A, after resetting, this is stuck in V. Thanks.

change the probe type to a current clamp or something like that.

You are aware that a scope can only measure voltage on its on and to measure current you measure the voltage over a shunt resistor or use a current clamp (both convert current in voltage in the mV range)

It is showing that you have a 1:1 Differential Probe connected to the input channel so would normally be measuring Voltage. What you need to do is click on Probe or Scaling to see options, and then chose Equation or Scaling where you can add the conversion to amps related to how you are calculating this. This example is measuring voltage drop across a 1k resistor with return units set to Amps
