Serial Decoder Suggestion

Post by mike603 » Mon Jan 13, 2020 10:41 pm

I am currently debugging one I2C connection on channels A & B and a different I2C connection on channels C & D.

I have created 2 I2C serial decoders. This gives me 2 tabs, one for each decoder.

It would be very convenient if when you create the decoder you could specify the trigger channel and trigger settings. This way when you switch tabs the trigger channel, direction and level will also change.

Right now I need to switch the tab and remember to change the trigger channel.

My suggestion would be to add some drop down list boxes and check boxes for trigger channel, direction and level on the decoder dialog box.

Depending upon the scope you have and the actual trigger conditions for each channel you may wish to consider using an advanced logic trigger and set up this up as an OR trigger so that either one will work.
