Automation based in PSData/PSsettings file

Post by candidosilva »

Hello all,

I have a project to automate a electronics test system where I will use a Pico scope to make several measurements.
My idea is to define in the lab all the measurements parameters, including masks and save this configuration files with Pico scope.

In production line that I will automate with VB.net, I have to make several different measurements in several timepoints of the test sequence.
My idea is to load into PicoScope the pre-saved config files from Lab in production and trigger it, judge pass/fail (my automation will do it) and save some data for traceability(my automation will do it).

I don't want to spend many time to figure out how to configure all parameters remotely, I have them done in picoscope6 software, I want to reuse them in automated test system same way I'm doing with VNA, Spectrum, DMM, etc, etc..
In some equipments the SCPI command is like MMEM:Load "config file"

Is this possible with Pico?

Best regards
Candido

Hi candidosilva,

If you are still considering this and have not already found a solution or contacted us, could you send an email to support@picotech.com, and include more information for the automation method that you're considering (fyi, we have no means of loading config files using VB.net, but we do have a Software Development kit which allows you to construct your own API, using VB for Excell, and in our PicoScope 6 software, there is the capability to perform command-Line automation using batch files).

Regards,

Gerry
