SDK folder missing

Post by orcaja2 »

Hi

I have a picoscope 4224.
I just installed the drivers in a laptop with matlab. I'm trying to run one of the examples in matlab. The error is:
"Name is nonexistent or not a directory: C:\Program Files\Pico Technology\SDK\lib in path (line 109)"
This is what I have seen in my computer, so far.

1. Pico technology folder is installed in "Program Files (x86)" not "Program Files"
2. When I open the program c:\Program files (x86)\Pico Technology\ I see the files
- Driver Packages
- PicoScope 6.

I don't see the file SDK either. Is there a way to fix this?

Thank you for your help.

/Joc

1. Pico technology folder is installed in "Program Files (x86)" not "Program Files"
This means you have installed the 32 bit version of the SDK, MATLAB is 64bit and as such requires the 64 bit version.

Thank you for your reply, but as far as I remember, I installed the picoscope 7 and it didn't work with the 4224 picoscope that I have. Then I tried with picoscope 6 and it is how it is working now.

I guess I will try again the picoscope 7, 64 bits.
Thank you.

This is the error now

Code: Select all

PicoScope 4000 Series MATLAB Instrument Driver

Warning: Disconnect: No devices found.
Error using icdevice
An error occurred while executing the driver create code.
There was an error loading the library "ps4000Wrap.dll"
The specified module could not be found.

If the error is not an instrument error, use MIDEDIT to inspect the driver.

Error in PS4000_ID_Block_Example (line 73)
ps4000DeviceObj = icdevice('picotech_ps4000_generic.mdd');
I guess I need to install the wrappers, like it is suggested here
