PicoScope 7.0.114.13320 taking in a lot of memory on mac

when opening the new picoscope 7.0.114.13320 the memory taken by the app quickly ramps up to 40GB or higher. Eventually it needs to be force quit because system memory is fully in use

Is there any update on this? Clearly, 7.0.116.13710 still has the problem.
