Multiple problems

Post by derryuk »

I have two scopes, 2202 and 3223 and the problems are common to both.

I have installed both the scope and automotive latest versions of the software.

Neither software will recognise either picoscope. I have tried three different cables and two different USB ports.

With either software if I try a reinstall with modify there are no features shown in the custom setup dialogue. It is blank.

If I disconnect a picoscope USB cable without first using the Windows 'safely remove hardware' widget my PC instantly shuts down.

I am running Win7 64bit
Gigabyte P43-ES3G

The picscopes show up in the control panel and I get the musical notification with connect/disconnect of USB cable.

Derry.

I have used the picoscopes successfully on a different laptop and desktop previously.

I tried both picoscopes on an old Toshiba laptop running 32b XP, both worked fine.

OK, back to my problem PC.

Removed all the software and drivers.

Installed just the scope software. Still couldn't find a picoscope.

Went through the modify routine and exited early on the blank options screen. Ran the software and ......

..... it works!!!!!!!!!!
