How many channels can I plot with PicoScope 6?

Post by pico_newbie » Wed Jun 01, 2011 8:15 am

Hi,
I want to do some measurement in my labor and gonna buy the ADC24 or PicoLog1216.
Does anyone know what is the maximum of channels, that we can analyse, export and save the data (in *txt data) with the Software PicoScope 6?
In my case, I need to plot at least 8 channels (analog inputs) and 2 PWM Input-signals (not sure which is better, input analog or digital input ) at the same time.
I appreciate any suggestion. Thank you.

Hi and thank you for your post.

You cannot use the ADC24 with PicoScope6 however you can use PIcolog Recorder software, if you enable the use multiple loggers option, you can have up to 20USB devices at any one time.

Kind regards

Does it mean, that in case I use one PicoLog1216 device, I can track and save data for 16 input channels (16 track fenster, 16 graphs and diagrams) at the same time?

Hi yes you can do this in both Picolog Recorder and Picoscope 6, Picoscope 6 would split the screen once you go more than 8 channels.

Hi Ziko,

I just want to double-check... could you display 8 analog channels at once in PicoScope 6 using two different scope hardwares? For example, if I plugged in two Pico 3404A oscilloscopes into 1 computer, could I display all 8 channels together? Could the two scopes be configured to have a common trigger point?

Thanks,

No you can only have one scope per instance of Picoscope 6, you can have two instances running at the same time but the data would not be synched
