Setup the Picoscope to take only one wave at 1M sampling

Post by Ortenzi »

Hello,

I need only acquire signals from an acoustic source at the sample rate of 1MHz by 300 seconds, continuously with three channels. Does the PICO4424 with the latest version of PicoScope do it? In positive case how can I set up the software? I tried to do this without success and I can't join 3 or 6 wave files because has a gap between them. In other words, could I save all wave file as a unique wavw file with a gap in time less than 1e-6 seconds? I think the PC isn't a problem:
2 x 8core 6136 opteron processors
12 GB cache memory
16 GB DDR3 RAM
2GB GForceQUADRO Graphic board
2 TB HDD 7200 32MB
So I think the issue is regarding the program wave setup or configuration of sampling rate.
If the PICOSCOPE 4424 isn't able to do this, have you any other that is able to? I need at least three channels
for my signal acquisition at the same time.

Hi you cannot stream at 1MS/s for three channels on Picoscope 6 for a 300 seconds, the size on the disk would be huge. We have limited how many samples you can have in Picoscope 6.

The only way you can achieve this is if you wrote your own software really, this is also PC dependant the system memory plays a big part in this. Looking at your PC if any PC could yours should!

Kind regards
