PicoLog 1012

Post by Paul Brown »

I have a PicoLog 1012 running on a Windows 7 laptop. I am using PicoScope 6 V 6.5.74.42 & PicoLog 5.21.9
I want to record a relatively fast trigger transient of 500mv 70ms with PicoScope and monitor its effect on 6 channels of slower data recorded on PicoLab at levels up to 2.5 V at approx. sampling rate of 0.5 sec over much longer periods.
When I try and access PicoScope whilst PicoLab is running/recording I get an error indicating no "No device found" - does this mean I need to purchase an additional PicoLog 1012 and run it through another USB port if I want to acieve my objective?
If I did this would it work OK with 2 loggers and be able to save data files, record simultaneously etc with no problems?

Second query on PicoLog graphing - if running several plots on different axes (have got this to work) how do you change the colour of the individual channel traces and can you change the scale of each vertical axes to reflect actual units using the equation facility?

Thanks

Hi and thank you for your post.

Only one software can drive one piece of hardware, if you wanted to run both software you would have to have 2 units.

On the second question you can change the colours of the channels by going into File-> Preferences->Colours ->

You will then find the traces at the bottom for the first 10, click on each one to adjust them accordingly.

Kind regards
