Streaming with PicoScope6

Post by larryt40 »

I am considering purchasing a 2200 series scope and wanted to try out the streaming data storage capability. However, I cannot find it in the pick lists. I know that you state that the 2200 series supports this capability but I want to know how to use the PicoScope6 to actually implement capture.

I did see the start and stop buttons in the bottom left corner but I get, in demo mode, only 1 of 1 instead of 32 screens as is available in the normal demo run mode.

Please let me know what I am missing. I read your pdf that was linked to the streaming capability but it just addressed the capability and the availability of a driver. I want to know how to make PicoScope6 do it for me.

Hi the 2203/4/5 support fast streaming.

Using PicoScope 6 this comes into effect from time bases from 100ms/division and slower.

If you wanted uninterrupted capture then you would have to write your own software as there is an associated delay between buffers. The buffers themselves can be set up to be more than 32 by going into the preferences.

When I first used PicoScope 6 I also wondered where the button for recording in fast streaming mode was. From this kind of question you can see that there are quite a few customers who need this feature. Why don't you just implement it ?
