Picoscope 5203 not enumerated after wake up from hibernation

Post by tommyjunge »

Hi,

my Picoscope 5203 is not being enumerated after my PC wakes up from hibernation state. The scope software won't find it. Only cure is unplugging and replugging the USB cable. Is this known behavior?

Best regards,
Tom

Hi can you try using 6.5.64 from labs.picotech.com, I have tried it on my computer and it seems to work:

Hope this helps.

I have tried and no, r6_5_64 does not solve the problem for me.

This is what I did after having used the Picoscope:
-Stop the software Picoscope6
-Send PC to hibernation
-Cut the Picoscope power
-Power up Picoscope again
-Wake up PC
-Start PicoScope6
=> Message stating "no hardware found, want a demo device?"
Stopping and restarting PicoScope6 doesn't solve the problem but disconnecting and reconnecting the USB cable does.

Note: While Picoscope6 can't find the Picoscope device, Windows lists it as functional and e.g. Microsoft's USBView enumerates the Picoscope hardware ok.

I'm using Win XP SP3 on an Acer AspireOne in this case.

Best regards,
Tom

Interesting, I have tried this on an Asus Netbook running XP and encountered the same problem. I originally tried it on a Windows 7 computer, I tried it again wit your exact same setup and it worked fine on Windows 7.

Kind regards
