Text Box question

Post by cbez »

Is there a plug-in etc whereby I can put a text box onto the waveform being displayed? I would like the text box to be visible when I print or save (i.e. to GIF). The purpose of the text box would be to provide a description of the cct, measurement, or the settings etc. I am using PicoScope® 6 - PC Oscilloscope software version: 6.4.92.0.

Thank you for your suggestion, whilst this is not something that is available I will forward it to our software engineers.

Kind regards

However, you can click "Edit" > "Notes" to add a Notes area to the bottom of the window. You can type any text in there. The notes appear when you print and are saved in PSDATA files, but do not appear when you save as a GIF.

Thanks Jeff! This will be a good start for me. Having the notes in GIF would be really nice so I don't have to open the GIF in another application to add the notes.

Glad to have helped. I've submitted an "Enhancement" request to our software engineers, but they have a very long to-do list.

As a workaround perhaps you could just use the PrtScn key and make a screen shot of the application [edit: with the Notes box visible]. At least that would save you from retyping the notes.
