Pico 4424 Sample sizes

Postby trantuankiet » Fri Dec 03, 2010 7:31 pm

Hi,
My application requirement is to capture more than 8M samples per channel on the Picoscope 4424 using Block Mode. Is there a way to do this? I got "out of memory" or "Invalid timebase" error messages whenever I tried to capture at 8MHz sampling rate for more than 1 second.
Thanks.

The Buffer memory of the 4424 is 32Msamples.

This will be split between active channels, so with 4 channels in use, the effective memory will be 8Msamples per channel.

If you're sampling at 8Ms/s you'll get 1 seconds worth of samples before the memory is full.

You therefore need to lower the sample rate or capture for a shorter amount of time.
