ADC 212/3 With Automotive software

Post by SteveS »

I have recently installed a parallal card to my Vista laptop so that I could move my ADC212/3 from an old machine with a parallel port. PCMCIA (IEE1284) £15.49 from Stonehill Technologies

The card has installed as LPT1, and the latest releases of Picoscope and Picolog worked fist time.

Flushed with success I downloaded The latest Automotive software which promply refused to recognise my picoscope at all and will only work in demo mode. I noticed a previous post which I can not now find where some one had stated that his ADC212/3 worked fine with release 5.X.XX but refused to work with release 6.

I wanted to confirm this, however the archive area for the Automotive software is password protected. Why? if the software is now free? The Picoscope and Picolog software is unprotected.

Has anyone else experienced problems with the ADC212/3?

I noticed this myself with PicoScope 6 where it would not recognise the ADC212/3 however after installing the beta release it seems to have fixed it. Give this a go and let me know how you get on. I will relay these findings to our developers.

Kind regards

Tried beta release, no better still does not recognise my ADC 212/3. My unit is very old and in the original white/cream case. It signs itself 212-1 in the Picoscope software, perhaps the earlier units have a different ID.

The Picoscope and Picolog seem to cope so its a bit of mystery.

Not to much of a problem however, the free Automotive software was an unexpected bonus and much as I would like to try it the working Scope and Logging software was my main aim.

Thanks for your response.
