Relay switching all the time when recording Channel A und B

Post by deepfritz7 »

Hello!

I'm using a PicoScope 2203 with the Picolog Software.

My goal is to make a power measurment over time (30s or longer).

I want to record Channel A und Channel B with the Picolog Software. But when I set up the measurments of the two channels, the scope is swiching an relay very fast (proportional to the sampling time).

I want to sample with 1ms. This result in a extremely disturbing switching noise from the relay and I have to unplug the scope.

So, isn't it possible to record Channel A und Channel B at the same time with a samplerate of 1 khz, with my setup?

Thanks

deepfritz7,

You can get around the relay switching issue by using a recording method of Streaming (single converter only) rather than Real time continuous.

Thanks for your answer.

But if I use the streaming mode, it isnt possible to record with 1-2 ms for eg. 5 min without losing data?

Best regards

Hi this should be no problem running it in streaming mode. You can increase the maximum number of sample points. It is in a different section to when it is in real time continious mode.

You will find it under you channel settings.
