Integrated circuit

Post by mwinshe »

How do i use my Pico scope to measure wave forms of an Integrated Circuit? How do i connect my Pico scope to an integrated circuit? What wave form results should i expect for an integrated circuit that is in good condition, and also for one that is not in a good condition (please provide sample wave form diagrams of all the various possibilities and their explanations)

Hi you can use some probes and ground one end of the probe (usually a crocodile clip) and the pin of the probe tip to measure what you want. You can perhaps select a voltage range of +/-5V as most ICs will be within this range. THe waveform you see will vary from one IC to another, it could be in kHz or it could be in GHz what IC are you trying to measure?

Kind regards
