Signal conditioning and low pass filtering

Post by tomzamboglou »

Dear Sir/Madame,

I am using a picolog 1012 to record outputs from pressure transducers and a flowmeter. Do you know if amplification or conditioning of these output signals is required?
My results currently show intense fluctuations.

Regards,
Tom

Hi, it depends on what the output of your transducer is. The Picolog 1012 has a resolution of 10 bits, so that is 1024 points across your 0 - 2.5V range, so the minimum voltage increment is 2.5/1024 = 2.44mV.

Hope this helps.
