Environment by using IP

Post by John_Alfred »

Dear all,

We installed Environment application R5.21.5-32 bits on a PC which has a direct connection through COM1 to a logger and we can monitor all readings. This PC has an IP address such as 192.168.200.200.

We can see the aforementioned PC IP address 192.168.200.200 on the PCs connected to the network. So, we installed client Environment R5.21.5-32 bits on another PC connected to the same network. We configured this PC through Settings-Configuration-Change-Advance and selected Equipment then the following:- "Connection: IP Network", "IP Server: RJR-Console.corp.com.ua" and "IP Port: 1051".

Once we run Environment client on remote PC, we get error message "WARNING: Logger not found Server RJR-Console.corp.com.ua port 1051"

Please assist and advice

Have you tried typing in the ip address instead? Also have you made sure that the firewall allows your software on both ends to work?
