environmental monitoring

Post by jonney »

I volunteer for the Othona Community (www.othona.org). We are currently building a zero carbon emission building, it is intended that it will be heated entirely from the sun. It seems to me to be an excellent opportunity to bury some sensors in the construction to enable us to monitor how successful we have been, particularly to find out how well the thermal mass operates. I am trying to get universities interested but have not yet been successful. The building consists of 5 bedrooms, a meeting room, showers and toilets. There is no budget for this part of the project, so what we spend will be severely limited. I was thinking that 12 temperature sensors and 2 RH sensors would be adequate but would be grateful for any help.
