Repeatable Bugs (under Win2k3 64)

Post by ~~Adam »

Repeatable bug.
Running latest version of PicoScope 6 (see below).
Selected Demo Device
Select Demo Signals
Select A source control
Adjust Amplitude (Peak) to 3.6V
Add measurement to waveform AC RMS
EDIT:Enable 16 bit enhancement
RMS value is not 2.5V RMS?

Hi,
By my calculations, PicoScope6 is correct. 2.5 volts RMS x 1.414 (for a sine wave) gives 3.535 volts peak. Setting 3.535 volts peak in the signal generator gives 2.5 volts RMS as a measurement.
Regards,
PeterF.

I figured it out.

Enabling Enhancement (from 12 bit to 16bit sampling) causes and amplitude error in the DEMO waveform.

so it is a bug, but probably only affect the Demo waveform and not real thing devices, I'll know when I get my 4224 unit on friday.
